Product Review: Carol’s Daughter Kizzi “Stay Put” Hair Pomade

Carol’s daughter Kizzi “Stay Put” Hair Pomade is simply WONDERFUL.  Again, I’ve been using this product for a couple of months now and my relationship with Kizzi has been wonderful.

The Cost: $9.50 on the Carol’s Daughter website and at Sephora.  I bought mine at Sephora.

The Ingredients: Corn Oil, Soy Oil, Castor Oil, Beeswax, Coconut Oil, Sweet Almond, Oil, Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Wheat Germ Oil, Toasted Palm Kernel Oil, Alkanet Root, Annatto Seeds.

Why I Love It: Plain and simple, I love this hair pomade because it gives me shine, hold and unlike hair gel, it does not dry out during the day.  When I started my natural journey one of my best friends told me that hair gel was going to be my “best friend” (I believed her because she went natural a couple of years ago, but she got back on the creamy crack when she was getting married a couple of years ago…lol…so silly me bought every type of hair gel I could find.  After a couple of weeks, I began to hate gel :-( –it made my hair dry and crusty(y’all know the yucky white stuff) anyway…I went to Sephora in search of something that had the hold of gel and did not leave my hair dry.  I went to the Carol’s Daughter’s section looking for something totally different — Hair Milk — and I walked away with Kizzi.

Kizzi promised “soft hold and shine for finger waves and curls” and that is exactly what I got.  Kizzi does not have a strong hold, but for the styles I’ve been rocking I don’t need a super strong hold.  Right now I’m rocking the half wig (hair update is coming soon), I cornrow the front at night and in the morning I take it down with Kizzi in the morning, I also smooth the edges down with it as well.  I have not had that gross product buildup with Kizzi, granted I’m only using a little bit each time, it gives my hair a little shine and just the right amount of hold.  Another plus about Kizzi is that it smells wonderful…I hate hair products that smell manufactured.

I absolutely love Kizzi and will certainly buy it again :-) !!!
