I am home sick with the flu
– in between coughing, sneezing, sleeping and my NyQuil haze, I
am YouTube surfing, lol. I came across of a couple of PJ Morton’s songs that I’ve never heard and a trailer for his DVD “Son of a Preacher Man.” I was introduced to PJ Morton a couple of years back and I have been a fan of his music ever since. A little background: PJ is a soul singer/musician, he is also the son of Bishop Paul S. Morton and he catches a lot of flack, especially from “church” folk, because he sings and produces soul/R&B music. In a recent interview on CNN’s Faces of Faith, promoting his book “Why Can’t I Sing about Love,” PJ explained his position on the issue — I will not attempt to explain it to you, but I will say this, discernment. Furthermore, there is a huge difference between the raunchy R&B songs that are on mainstream radio, BET/MTV and the music PJ sings and produces – I said all of that just to say this; it’s time to bring real music back to the mainstream. PJ’s new album “Walk Alone” is scheduled to be released on 2/9/10…I can’t wait. If you don’t know PJ Morton, get to know him!

I love PJ Morton as well. Glad to see another real music lover on wordpress, tired of all the Rihanna’s of the music industry.
Oh and you forgot to mention that PJ is a total hottie…FIYAH
